Team dinners

On the Thursday night before each Friday district game, a varsity player’s family hosts a dinner for all varsity players at 6:30 p.m. As soon as the varsity schedule is announced, we will ask for volunteers to host these dinners.

First priority is given to families with a senior varsity player, then to those with a junior, and on down the line. If there are more volunteers available Thursdays, we will try to find other nights that work for additional team dinners. The expense associated with hosting a team dinner is the responsibility of the host family.

Feel free to join forces with another family to split the cost, but be aware that the Booster Club does NOT reimburse you for the expense of a team dinner. Please choose foods that will provide the girls with good nutrition to fuel them for their game the following night. Pasta is typically a good choice. If you would like to try something, but you are not sure that the nutritional value is good for the night before a game, please run your idea by Coach to make sure it will be okay for a team dinner.

Due to UIL rules, you must get all the players to sign in and pay a dollar when they arrive at the team dinner -- no exceptions.

Junior Varsity

We are also looking for families with a Junior Varsity player to volunteer to host team dinners for the Junior Varsity players. The guidelines will be the same as those explained above for the varsity team dinners.
